Long Legged Creatures are simmering to the boil. The Leeds quartet have been steadily making a name for themselves with their dark, twisting, groove-based brand of electronica, served with a helping of punk. This is the sound of sweaty rave caves, walking wet streets at night, and a trip that may or may not end well.
Their latest single, the brooding CMAD, offers their characteristic pulsing, mutating blend of live instrumentation and electronics. It feels like the heavy groove is the only thing to keep you sane, as the track’s ominous harmony, and metallic textures engulf you, spinning you around, before abandoning you in some heap of exhaustion.
Listen now to CMAD on Spotify. You can catch Long Legged Creatures on their northern tour this month in Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, and Manchester.
